Checkout Rewards is Shaping the Future of Grocery Store Gaming

February 28, 2012

LAS VEGAS – Feb. 28, 2012 – Checkout Rewards, an affiliate of Golden Route Operations (GRO), is announcing new gaming club benefits exclusive to members in grocery stores throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Players now have the opportunity to earn free groceries, cash, trips, dining, and free slot play – all with the use of one club card.
Checkout Rewards was launched in May 2012 in grocery stores statewide. Since, players have had the opportunity to win a share of $100,000 in groceries, gas gift cards, and a brand new 2013 Ford Mustang. Now, loyal card holders have the chance to redeem gaming points for free groceries – a unique offering only available through Checkout Rewards. Additional benefits now include free slot play and free dining at PT’s or Sierra Gold taverns and much more.
Checkout Rewards delivers convenient gaming with the ability to use the same card at more than 120 locations across the Las Vegas Valley including Albertsons, Vons, Smith’s, Glaziers Food Marketplace, and PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns.
“This is a universal player rewards program available to Nevada gamers and patrons in their neighborhood grocery stores, and now, in PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns as well,” said Blake L. Sartini II, director of operations for GRO. “We want to give our loyal card holders a unique experience of ‘pure convenience’ with one card. Checkout Rewards does just that.”
Checkout Rewards has finalized two “prototype” locations with plans for additional locations each month. Features include a separation wall between the grocery store and the slot area to offer more privacy, new cutting-edge slot products from major manufacturers including WMS and Bally, new carpet and cabinets, and the wildly popular community bonus program, previously offered exclusively at PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns, Golden Jackpot. GRO plans to offer these Checkout Rewards benefits to all partnered grocery locations in the near future.
